DISPLAY ADJUSTMENTS
Switch the right HUD display to ORBIT REF MOON. It's already set up so just click the HUD button to copy data to the main display.
As your ship gains speed the flight path indicator (Velocity Vector) will drift into view.
Roll your ship to position the degree-belt so that it crosses the Moon. AGMFD will chatter but ignore it.
As the VV nears the moon click the DIR button to change the target path reference to PRO. Your ship should settle into a moon-relative path.
FUEL
Don't worry about your fuel since AGMFD autofills your tank with propellant. (Toggle autofill with HUD shift-'F' key.)
Click CEN to center the display on the moon. Since the autoscaler fits your ship (still close by Earth) to the center, it zooms way out.
Using the ZM- button to zoom back in, bring your orange trajectory into view.
FINE ALIGNMENT
Once locked on a PRO trajectory you can fine tune your approach to the Moon.
Click HLD to release automatic attitude control. The Target indicator goes red to indicate lack of hold.
Yaw your ship (gently if you're on time warp!) in the plane of the Moon opposite the VV. Cross it by thirty degrees then NAVMODE_KILLROT.
Watch the PeT indicator. When it gets to your desired approach distance, click HLD to re-engage automatic attitude control.
You can also use the dashed yellow sunline to stage face crossings as desired.
You are now ready for Lunar injection.
